Minneapolis-based ROLU Studio partners Matt Olson, Mike Brady, and Joe Mollen focus on designing and building furniture as well as landscape design, architectural projects, urban planning work, and collaborative public art (their credo is "We like simple things. Plain."). The trio's furniture is handmade of plywood and inspired by "1970s DIY books, the ideas proposed in Enzo Mari's Autoprogettazione project, as well as the furniture of Donald Judd, Gerit Rietveld, and Rudolph Schindler."
