There is something very satisfying about painting things, especially small things (stones, sticks, anything gathered on trips or walks in the woods, for instance); the potential for transformation is huge. Not only are the materials inexpensive and accessible (a few found objects and some sample pots of paint), the results are always pleasingly personal and guaranteed to be much appreciated.
